Ingredients
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or 1 lb homemade dough)
1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced or shaved
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
8 slices provolone cheese (or 2 cups mozzarella)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley
Optional: salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the filling
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing for 4–5 minutes until softened.
Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned.
Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the dough
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Step 3: Assemble the stromboli
Layer provolone cheese slices evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
Spread the cooked steak, peppers, and onions over the cheese.
Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, sealing the edges and ends.
Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 4: Add garlic butter
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley.
Brush generously over the top of the stromboli.
Cut a few small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
